While most of the exciting features for PUBG Mobile update 0.10 are still a few days out, it's a smart idea for the game's developers at Tencent to deploy the files early so servers don't crash on Wednesday night. Especially considering the download size is fairly large this time around, it makes sense to give players ample opportunity to prepare for launch.
Early impressions of the PC version of Vikendi have been almost unanimously positive. Its larger playing field and snowy environment effectively build the unique brand of tension PUBG is known for, but the area is still small enough for action to feel somewhat constant. Especially when you add in the new vehicle, getting around Vikendi couldn't be more fun. One curious omission, though, is the G36C rifle currently being tested on Steam. The gun is exclusive to Vikendi on other platforms, but that doesn't seem to be the case on mobile.
As for the other features, there's nothing else here that drastically alters the experience you already know. While it'll be cool for squads to possibly see their names in the Crew Challenge display on Erangel, it's little more than lip service. The same goes for Lucky Treasure, which presumably has pretty slim odds to actually earn its advertised reward. The snow map is the main draw here, and unfortunately you'll have to wait to play it.
PUBG Mobile is available now on Android and iOS.
