If you're computer is having troubles detecting Sims 3 game after you've installed it, which is preventing you from playing it, than you're at the right place, I've a quick and simple fix. First of all, this is probably the error you're getting: Disc Authentication Failure No Game disc found! Please insert the sims 3 game disc. If the above error is what you’re getting, you’ve come to the right place. Or if you simply want to know how to play your game without the disc in your computer, this is also the right place. NOTE: This will only work on legit copies of the game! I do not condone pirating, especially of an awesome game like this! This will take only a few minutes to fix! Here are the steps: 1. First you'll need to download this file https://www.vizzed.com/vizzedboard/controlpanel.php?category=downloads&download=sims3discerrorfix 2. Extract the file you downloaded (with a pc, right click file and choose 'Extract All...'). 3. Now you must find the folder the game was installed to: If you're using Windows Vista, Browse to the following location on your computer: C: (if you're using internet explorer, you can copy the above location and paste it into your address bar in this window and the folder will pop up in a separate window) If you can't find it, click the Circle with the Windows Flag in it at the bottom corner of your screen, than go to Computer, than go to Local Disk (C: If you're using Windows XP, Browse to the following location on your computer: C:Program FilesElectronic ArtsThe Sims 3GameBin (if you're using internet explorer, you can copy the above location and paste it into your address bar in this window and the folder will pop up in a separate window) If you can't find it, go to My Computer, than go to Local Disk (C: If you're using a Mac, Browse to the following location on your computer: Macintosh HDApplicationsThe Sims 3The Sims3.app (you need to right click and choose 'Show Contents'!)ContentsResourcestransgamingc_driveProgram FilesElectronic ArtsThe Sims 3GameBin 4. Drag the files from that extracted folder from step 2 into this folder that you just browsed to (be sure to replace the files already in that bin folder). 5. Now when you go to play the game, it should work right away! Also note that you can now play the game without the disc if you want. To sum things up, you basically just need to extract that file into the bin folder of the Sims 3 installation folder That's it! The game should work just fine now. Enjoy If this did not work, you can try out another procedure which should fix it here: https://www.vizzed.com/vizzedboard/thread.php?id=5549 If this worked for you, please let me know, it's good to tally up how many people got this working with my help. If this didn't work for you, please also let me know and I can help you get it working. Edit: Removed emoticons appear in file descriptions (C > (C: |

Browse to the folder which you put those files in that you downloaded and from that folder, open up the TS3.exe file. Let me know if that works. |

I tried to use this on my Mac, but it is not working. I copied the files into the bin folder (/Applications/The Sims 3.localized/The Sims3.app/Contents/Resources/transgaming/c_drive/Program Files/Electronic Arts/The Sims 3/Game/Bin), but when I try to run the game, it still tells me that I need to insert the disk. Do you know if this works on Mac, and do you have any suggestions? Thanks! |

I think this may only work if you have the legal copy of the game too, ive seen on some forums that people who downloaded the game cant get the cd cracks to work, not sure, but i know for sure if you have the legal game for pc, are using vista and use davids fix, everything should work out fine, i just put like an O at the end to keep the original files, like TS3O.exe on my originals so i didnt overwrite them, they are still there, then just moved the others into the bin folder, anyway thanks again david |

Stevenbenton brings up a good point, this is only meant to work on legal copies. And yeap, glad you got it working littleostrich: This only works for windows, sorry but I don't own a mac so have no way of figuring out how to get it to work on a mac |

Yes, you're suppose to simply extract the files into the bin folder. Let me know if that works. |

If you’re playing on PC, we recommend that you update your game directly through Origin.
Expand for instructions on checking your region, downloading the super-patcher, and extracting and running it on your Mac.
Check your region
The super-patcher you need for Mac OSX depends on the region of the version you’re installing.
If you already know which region version you have, skip to the next section.
If you have only installed The Sims 3 (with no expansions, worlds, or stuff packs), you can check your region version from the launcher:
- Run the launcher.
- Check the version number in the bottom left corner of the launcher window.
- Find the last digit in the version number – that’s your region code.
- The number should be 1, 2, 3, 5 or 7.
- If it isn’t, follow the steps below to find the region code.
If you’ve installed more than the base game, or have a version number that doesn’t end with 1, 2, 3, 5 or 7, you’ll need to manually check your region in the game files:
- Open Finder, go to Applications and select The Sims 3 folder.
- Right-click on the game icon and select Show Package Contents.
- Right-click the file named info.plist to highlight it.
- Press the spacebar to open the file in Quick View Mode.
- Check the version number listed under ClientBuild.
- Find the last number in the version – that’s your region code.
- Press the spacebar to exit Quick View mode.
- Close your Finder windows.
Download the super-patcher for your region
Click on the link that matches your region number to download the super-patcher:
The super-patcher file is large and might take a while to download. How long it takes depends on your internet connection speed.
Sims Deluxe No Cd Patch
Extract and run the super-patcher
When the download has finished:
- Double-click the downloaded file.
- Wait for the patch to extract (this can take a little time).
- When the patch is ready to install you’ll see a green plumbob icon.
- Double-click the plumbob icon to run the super-patcher.
- If asked, enter your administrator password.
- In the Finder window, go to Applications and select The Sims 3 folder.
- Click on The Sims 3 game icon once to highlight it.
- Click on the Update button in the bottom-right of the Finder Window.
- Wait for the update to finish installing.
- Launch the game.
No-cd Patch Warcraft 3
If you installed the super-patcher and then install expansion packs or stuff packs, you may see an error message saying the game version is different than expected. Ignore the message and continue installing your packs.
Expand for instructions installing the super-patcher on your PC.
If you play on PC, you can update your game directly through Origin.
We recommend that you download and install your game through Origin, so that you get all the latest updates and have access to the most recent launcher and expansion manager.
If you do want to install from your game disks, you need to use the super-patcher.
- Download the super-patcher for PC here. The PC super-patcher works for all regions of the game.
- To extract and install it, double-click on the downloaded file.
- When you’re done patching, check that you have the correct version.
- Run the launcher and hover your mouse pointer over the icon in the bottom-left of the launcher window. If you see version number 1.67.62, you’re all set.
- If you see an installed version cannot be detected error, try again and run the super-patcher as an administrator.
